Reality - It's What's for Dinner.
Hey I've seen that before. It's part of a much larger painting -- but I can't remember which one.
Botticelli - Primavera - i.e., "Spring" - it's in the Uffizi, in Florence.Yeah, it's a detail. What's interesting is that we lost a lot of Botticelli to a wave of Florentine religious mania - sort of a wingnut purge of the time - guided by the notorious Savanarola (see "The Bonfire of the Vanities"). I am pretty sure that everyone who loves Botticelli is attracted to his elegant line; to my mind, there's a connection to Raphael, to Poussin and to Ingres - all painters I love. I wish I could draw like that!
Boticelli! That's right...
